A Resting Place for Weary Travellers
Year 1 Semester 1 - 2020
This project involved designing a space to frame a view. My view is on the A832, halfway between Dingwall and Ullapool, and in keeping with the rural nature, the pavilion is very vernacular in style. A stone roundhouse with a thatched roof has three small windows, highlighting the loch, the tree, and the hill. Inside, there are three small benches and space for an open fire, to allow for those travelling on the road to rest, warm up, and appreciate their surroundings and the framed view.
