208 Hunter Street

208 Hunter Street is a Grade B-listed, sandstone tenement in the East of Glasgow. 

The windows highlighted were previously single-glazed, with a secondary panel to improve energy efficiency, but the residents were struggling to remove these panels for cleaning and the exterior of the window frames was beginning to rot.

I assisted the residents in applying for both Listed Building and Planning permission, to swap their single-glazed windows for slimline double-glazing. I found the experience really interesting, as I had to complete forms and drawings for both permissions.

The work received approval in February 2024, and since then the new windows have been installed.
